Trump Has Changed His Regular Burger Order To Make It More ‘Healthy’

In January, Dr. Ronny Jackson, the president’s former doctor, gave a glowing account of the president’s physical health. While Dr. Jackson did pronounce that Trump was in “excellent” health, he also suggested that Trump would do well to eat a healthier diet and lose 10 to 15 pounds.

Dr. Jackson said, “You know, I told the president that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years, he might live to be 200 years old.”

Trump is known for his love of fast food. In author Michael Wolff’s book, “Fire and Fury,” he wrote that the president likes to be in bed by 6:30 p.m. He watches shows on three televisions, calls friends and confidants and he eats a McDonald’s cheeseburger.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, the president’s new lawyer, said that Trump has changed up his burger order to be healthier. Giuliani explained that, when he met for lunch with the president recently, Trump ate his burger with only half a bun to make it healthier.

The president did not change the burger’s contents, but he went without half the bun. Giuliani said, “It’s a good way to do it.”

Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski previously spoke about the president’s dietary habits. He explained that, on the campaign trail, Trump would go to McDonald’s and order two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish and a chocolate milkshake.

At that time, the president reportedly went without buns entirely. Lewandowski said, “Well, he never ate the bread, which is the important part. He was busy campaigning. We didn’t have time to sit down for a meal.” So this most recent tweak includes more bread than he ate on the campaign trail.

It seems the White House did not do wonders for the president’s diet, as prior to taking the oath of office, Trump would scrape the toppings off pizza and not eat the crust, and he would avoid hamburger buns. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) recalled a lunch with the president, who said, “I am trying to lose a little weight. So I have for lunch usually a cheeseburger with no bun. And [Trump] had a cheeseburger with a bun and a whole lot of french fries.”
