Stephen King Tells Hysterical Joke About Melania’s Surgery, And Now Conservatives Are Losing It…
First lady Melania Trump underwent kidney surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday. The first lady’s office said in a statement that Melania Trump, “underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.”
Melania is expected to spend the remainder of the week in the hospital. A CNN reporter asked Melania’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, why Melania would stay in the hospital for as long as a week after a routine procedure. Grisham responded, “I am not going to expand beyond the statement I put out.”
Author Stephen King speculated about the first lady’s hospital stay on Twitter and immediately received criticism from the right. King tweeted, “Not to be snarky, but Melania can probably use a week’s rest from Blabbermouth Don. Sounds heavenly to me.”

King was not the only one to say what plenty of Americans were thinking. Jimmy Fallon used the material in his monologue on Monday night. The comedian said that Melania’s doctors told the first lady she could go home and “she was like, ‘No pressure, make sure.'”
The first lady’s office has asserted her desire for privacy as she recovers. Grisham said, “The First Lady is in good spirits, and she is resting. There are HIPAA laws to consider, but she also deserves personal privacy.”
Vice President Mike Pence said in a speech Monday night that the first lady’s operation was “long planned.” On Wednesday, Melania was present at a White House event honoring military mothers and spouses for Mother’s Day. She went with her husband late that night to welcome three Americans who returned home to the U.S. after being held captive in North Korea.
Melania has not appeared in public since those events last Wednesday.
Conservatives, as usual, are outraged:
I have been a fan since Salems Lot, but not anymore. Your novels are brilliant but you as a person is rude and ignorant. No empathy, plus why don’t you check out the stuff on President is accomplishing. This i

Stephen King you are losing what little you have left of your facilities……what happened to you? No one, of your caliber, bashed the former President or his family like this. There is dislike, but be civil my man. Red Sox fan, and former fan of yours….

Well, I used to be a fan. Fortunately, there are plenty of other talented authors that may have a clue that some of his or her readers actually support our/your President. Not snarky, trashy!

Wow, not a fan of Donald, but this is over the top. How about a little compassion for someone undergoing surgery. How abut keep that as an inside thought and if an outside thought is needed it is “Get Well.”

You have become a real asshole since your accident that almost killed you. I really think it affected your mind in a negative way. Stick with writing books and stay away from the politics.
