Fox News Sycophants Say Trump Is WRONG, Trump Must Apologize For ‘Shithole’ Comments
Donald Trump Trump was admonished on Friday morning from Fox News after reportedly saying he didn’t want immigrants from “shithole” countries.
On Fox News’s “Fox and Friends,” normally a criticism-free zone when it comes to Trump, co-host Brian Kilmeade said the president should acknowledge he was wrong.
“Well, No. 1, the president made a mistake making those comments, no question,” Kilmeade said. “He’s upset that the refugees here were supposed to be temporary after the Haitian disaster and the El Salvador earthquake they were able to stay. And the Democrats say, let’s just let them stay. He says, no, we should not let them stay, and he said things about Haiti and El Salvador and we should have more people from Norway. Not positive, not gonna move the story forward. I think he should walk it back at some point.”
Co-host Steve Doocy said he didn’t think that Trump would back away from his comment.
“Maybe he does,” said Kilmeade. “Maybe this will be the time he does because he wants to get things done.”
Unlike almost all other national media, which Trump calls “fake news,” he frequently tweets about programming on “Fox and Friends” in a favorable way, even directing his millions of followers to watch the show.
The Washington Post, citing two people briefed on the meeting, reported Thursday that Trump grew frustrated and lashed out at lawmakers in a private meeting over possibly restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations that his administration plans to end.
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to the report.
On Friday morning, Trump denied using the word, but did say he used “tough” language. And he didn’t apologize.
At 7:06 am, Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade said Trump "made a mistake" with the "shithole" comment and should "walk it back."
At 7:28 am, Trump Tweeted that that was "not the language used." pic.twitter.com/t1fr5RxHKJ
