Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake has donated to Doug Jones’ campaign for the Alabama Senate seat.
Flake on Tuesday tweeted a photo of a check he wrote for $100 to the Jones campaign, adding, “Country over Party” in the memo line of the check and in the tweet.

Jones is facing off against GOP candidate Roy Moore, who has been accused of sexual misconduct and assault with several girls when they were in their teens and he was in his 30s.
Flake has been highly critical of Moore and of GOP leaders who have backed him, including Donald Trump.
“A Roy Moore victory is no victory for the GOP and the nation,” Flake said Monday.
Earlier on Tuesday, Donald Trump plugged Moore’s Senate campaign while sitting right next to Flake at lunch with GOP senators.
Twitter was quick to give their opinion:
Giving chump change to an irrelevant candidate doesn't negate the fact that you JUST VOTED FOR THE TAX BILL WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU https://t.co/fCy3VL97qz

hello I’m Jeff flake, I’m angling for a job at a fancy financial institution by voting for the tax bill that gives super-rich people more money but i would still like to be booked on cable tv as a “conservative with a conscience” so here’s $100 https://t.co/18LNkhTUwE

Ironically, this is how much most of our take-home pay will be after the GOP tax plan takes effect. https://t.co/yNMRTkelJU
